Domain Name Registration

.com, .net or .org domain?

Which domain TLD (top-level domain) you are choosing does also depend on your needs and what is your website for:

.com (commercial) was officially intended to designate commercial entities, however there is no restriction on who can register .com domains today.

.org was intented to be used by organizations although now anyone can register a .org domain.

.biz was intended for domains to be used by businesses and to provide an alternative to businesses whose preferred .com domain name had already been registered by another party.

artKenya will register the domain of your choice on your behalf and entails US-based (.com, .net, .org, .bix, .web, .tv, etc.) or local (.co.ke, .ac.ke, .or.ke) domains.

If you have a business site on the Internet your domain name is your own online brand and in a sense you can use your domain name as your online business card.

When thinking of a domain name, think of catchy words or phrases that are easy to remember and that will bring more traffic to your site. Try to use a domain name that is relevant to your website.
